San Francisco - Ghirardelli Square

Today we went to Ghirardelli Square which is down by Fisherman's Wharf. It's an amazing place that used to be a chocolate factory until the 1960's. Now it's a super cute square with lot's of pretty shops and places to eat.

We had high tea at the Crown & Crumpet, which is decorated in various shades of pink. Was so pretty, and the food was awesome. We had tea for two, and there was so much food they gave us our leftovers to take-away. They also gave us these two massive tea pots filled with English Breakfast tea and their own special blend. We each had about 4 cups and there was still heaps leftover. I think this would be an amazing place to have a bridal or baby shower.

The guy serving us thought we were English. I guess we sound the same to Americans? We didn't get to try the cupcakes from Kara's Cupcakes, which apparently are the best in San Francisco. We were way too full!

  1. Loving the blog guys - sounds like you are having an awesome time! I loved San Fransisco and the tour of Alcatraz - although I wish I had done the night one - that would have been awesome! The main thing I remember about Santa Monica beach was the smog and the people sleeping on the beach (it was first thing in the morning). Looking forward to more updates :)
