After an amazing eight days in Croatia, we woke up early on our last day sad to be leaving.
We headed off to the ferry that was going to take us back to the main land, and then into a shuttle bus to Dubrovnik. It was a much shorter journey than the trip out of Dubrovnik, the whole trip was about 2 and a half hours, and we arrived in Dubrovnik at lunchtime.
Our flight wasn't until the evening, so we dropped our bags off at the apartment where we had stayed when we first arrived. The owner had generously allowed us to store our bags there until our flight. This meant we could enjoy our final day without worrying about lugging around our bags.
It turned out to be the hottest day since we had arrived, about 36 degrees. There were also three cruise ships in the harbour, so we decided to grab our swimming togs and head out to Lokrum where we had spent a lovely quiet day the previous week.
We found a quiet and shady patch on the rocks, and spent the entire day swimming and relaxing before we had to head back to London.
We headed back to the apartment in the evening to grab our bags, and have one last stroll around Dubrovnik.
We had such an amazing time in Croatia. The weather and the food were fantastic and the locals were so friendly, it was definitely hard to leave Dubrovnik to go back to rainy London.
looks like you had a wonderful holiday.
