Lovely end to the last Bank Holiday until Christmas...

Last Monday was the last Bank Holiday until Christmas... I really don't know where 2011 has gone, it has gone by so fast it's insane. In a couple of weeks, we will have been in the UK for a year!

The weather has very quickly gone from quite warm and sometimes sunny (apparently this is the worst Summer they've had in years. Of course.), to very cold and very rainy. I have been wearing tights and boots this week to work, and I had to physically fight with my umbrella on Tuesday because we had gale force winds.

So I suppose it's back to Winter again, hopefully we'll have another burst of nice weather before the cold weather really sets in, but I don't have my hopes up. At least we'll have a lovely week of sun in Greece in 2 weeks!

We slept in late and had a very late brunch at Upsy Daisy Bakery in Hammersmith. We go there almost every weekend and they've started to add new things to their menu.

We had french toast, one with Chocolate and Banana and the other with Maple Syrum and Blueberries. The Banana and Chocolate one was amazing, you can see the chocolate oozing out in the photo above.

Our friends Min Siew and Tony were visiting London for a week, so we met them for dinner on the Southbank. They have been teaching English in South Korea for the past year, so it was really great to catch up with them in their way back to New Zealand.

We had dinner at an Indian place in London Bridge, which I thought would be touristy so perhaps not have such great food. But the food turned out to be so yummy, and pretty cheap too, so that was a bonus for everyone, it's always good to find great, cheap places to eat in the City!

Tony and Min Siew

After dinner we had a wander over London Bridge and got some good photos in front of Tower Bridge, so many tourists taking photos, even though it was windy and freezing!

We said goodbye to Tony and Min Siew at London Bridge, and took the long way back to our tube station via Tower Bridge. It always looks so amazing at night-time, and there weren't too many people around with it being a Monday night, and not great weather. You'll see I'm back to wearing my winter coat!
